    Seriously this. Show us the respect of acting like you know you're violating check-in time. we usually have rooms ready about 1 p.m. but if you just Waltz up and announce your checking in, there are hundreds of ways I can mess with you. I know which floor is haunted, I know where the ice machines are, I know which rooms have the noise AC unit, and I may just forget to give you the free wifi code so that you have to pay for it. now granted I don't do this unless somebody is being a real pill, but many of the check-in agents are less forgiving than me.

      This is how I handle it if I'm early. Usually get a room, but on those rare occasions none are ready, I thank the desk clerk and go about my business until 3. I mean, come on, I KNOW I'm early...
