Irregular Career Growth.....Most Regional Managers took 30yrs to get there.
Low Quality of Life......I know its your wifes bday but we need you to close.

Stupid Policies.............No earrings gentlemen its unprofessional...in the 50's
Unrealistic Demands..Finish that endcap in 10 mins I have more work for you
Customers.....................Let's face it dealing with the public sucks.
Killer Work Conditions...........Sorry the mice ate your lunch.
Shady Ethics................Lets build our empire on the backs of the under employeed.

I don't care how many acronyms they come up with or catchy phrases and values they preach. There is no career path in the business world worse than retail.

Luckily under union rules we do get Christmas off (and I have enough seniority to get Christmas Eve off as well; very important as that's the day of my grandma's Christmas get-together).

For what it's worth, I'd LIKE to work holidays. Why? Since I live over 800 miles from my family and certain holiday weeks are blocked (no vacations allowed), not to mention the fact that as much as I like my future in-laws...it's just not the same.
