  • Blonde intern

Just a quick story from the woman who proves there's a reason people stereotype blondes and the reason they invited blonde jokes.

*remember, I'm a platinum blonde....and it doesn't bother me any*

This blonde is an intern supervisor at the factory. From this obnoxious question she asks, it's obvious she's never worked around machines a day in her life.

From day 1, she was obsessed with goal, and would *try* to punish employees for not making goal. Little did twit know, some of these machines are over 20 years old and take hours to finish certain jobs. But of course, had she had any previous experience or even knew what she was dealing with, she would have known that.

She goes up to an operator running a slow machine, and asks "Can you make it go any faster? Nothing is getting done!"

The answer would be no. And even if it were yes, if an operator is caught messing with machines to try to make them faster, they are written up. Only engineers are allowed to screw with machines to make them faster. Not even maintenance can do that. And machines are set a certain way because if it was any faster, all product would be crap.

It may not seem like that stupid of a question, but if you work where I work, you'd be shaking your head in disbelief as well. Idiot.

I had that questioned ask to me once, when I was working at one of my factory jobs. I was the operator for this one machine. It had to go slow, so that the glue would melt, just enough, for it to get stuck on it. They wanted me turn it up, which I did to make the point that every manager was telling her. All she said was "Oh, I guess it has to be slow", I just said "Yeah"
