*le sigh* I have to go in to work today for one hour on my day off for a manager meeting. This is going to be soooooo exciting . dont get me wrong, I LOVE my new job...but the idea of driving a half hour to work taking part in an hour long meeting...then driving a half hour home just really doesnt thrill me. The amount of money I make from going to this meeting might be enough to pay for the gas to get there (last I looked it was $2.839/gallon)

Around here they would call that "cheap gas"!

If anyone wishes to sort the differences out, over here its hovering around the £1 a litre mark ($1.50) but many litres in a US gallon, who knows?

I think it usually works out at about $6 per US gallon on a straight exchange rate calculation, but that doesn't take into account the difference in ratio of living expenses.

yeah...I agree that gas here is relatively cheap right now...BUT...WI recently passed a new state budget...which includes a new tax...on gas...they are predicting by christmas gas will be over $5.00/gallon here. I saw it on the local news last night

At least I have the option of going to NJ where gas is still under $3 a gallon. The last time I filled up I paid about $2.57 a gallon. Remember when we thought $2.57 a gallon was expensive? Now you consider $2.57 a gallon dirt cheap in most areas.

At the gas station closest to my house, it's $2.51 a gallon. Last week it was $2.46.
