    Ice cream madness

    The kiosk at the cinema has just had a refit and it now includes a Ben & Jerry's 'scoop shop'.

    Well last night we had BJ 'training.' This consisted of a BJ franchise guy telling us about the history of BJ and how they are wonderful. He then showed us a video of the history of BJ and how they are wonderful.

    And then there was a quiz.

    Well my tolerance for corporate bullshit is pretty low at the best of times, but this took the cake.

    We have proper training tonight in which we will apparently get to eat lots of ice cream. Which will be onerous.

      I had to take a quiz after my training for the custard store I worked at. Maybe it's an ice cream thing?? *shrugs*

            Well my choice of phrase was not exactly innocent.

            One of my coworkers insisted there was a drink called BJ Splash, but it was not the case.

            Anyway we had training today, rather than corporate indoctrination. It was supposed to be an hour, but actually it lasted 2 and half hours.

              Back when Ben and Jerry owned the company there never would have been a quiz. You might of had to eat a "special" brownie, but no quiz. Their stockholder meetings used to be really great too - weekend long with free food and great bands and you could come even if you only had one share.
              I was at the flavor graveyard at the factory this summer lamenting my long lost favorite flavor (Rainforest Crunch).
              Did you guys at least get to make a Vermonster during training?

                  I know! When they opened their first shop my cousins and I spent all summer pestering our parents to buy us one. They finally did on the condition that if we didn't finish it all we had to pay them back. There were 7 kids and we just couldn't do it.
