  • My first story

11 months ago I got a job at a floral shop. I'm an artist but had no clue on arranging fresh flowers. The bitch (my new boss) hired me anyway because I'm an artist, and said she would train me. O.k. great I think. 8 months later all I've learned how to do is clean the cooler every week, wash hundreds of buckets every week, arrange roses and make flower baskets. Then "oh happy day"! One of the designers quits because she got sick of the bitch. So now I'm designing, and I am making the bitch A LOT of money because my stuff sells. One problem, she doesn't like me, I don't like her and I don't kiss ass.
On top of being a cleaning woman for the bitch, she cuts my hours. I had to speak to her twice and try to get it into her tiny little raisin brain that I can't L I V E on 30 hours a week. I have bills. Then this state wide floral show comes up. I don't want to go. It means being in the car with bitch and her little toady for 6 hours traveling. Then I find out there's a compitition at this thing where you could win $100.00. I'm in, I need money. So I go. And guess what? I WON. Mean while we get back home and I decide I'm getting another job, so I start interviewing here and there. One company called me at work several times to get me in for an interview. I went in on a Wednesday, was hired. Good. WAY more money and no bitch or her toady. I walked into work on Thursday and she fires me. Had NOOOO reason to do so. (except she found out I was looking, Toady at her best I'm sure)I just smiled and said brightly "o.k." and walked out. Still haven't seen my $100.00 award, and I'm guessing I won't.
anyway there's my first rant. I start new job at call center tomorrow.

I'm glad you found a better job that is higher paying. You'll have to let us know if you ever get your $100 award.

Getting fired is usually better than quitting, because then you qualify for Unemployment. That doesn't matter here, cuz you got a better job already, but it bears keeping in mind.

      Good story!
