  • never have I been so greatful to have been written up...

For those who don't know, I got written up 2 weeks ago for calling a coworker a f*cking incompetent *sshole in an email to my team manager. Part of my punishment was that I was not going to be permitted to go on the training trip to San Diego... well, the news came through about half an hour ago that the shuttle van... and everyone's stuff in it, apparently got stolen today... had I not been written up my stuff would have been stolen too. So children, the moral of the story is that using profanities in corporate emails will protect your property from theft

Well, if nothing else, it's also a heads up to any CSer on here who have access to email at work to watch what they write. Never know who may read it!

Especially if you send it to your manager.

Seriously though, that's sad for them to lose their stuff, but pretty funny as a karmic reward for (I assume) delivering a non-PC but honest assessment of a co-worker.

yeah, karma is a mean one... and in case you were wondering, the coworker I am speaking of told the guest the wrong room, the wrong day, the wrong rate, and then told them we could accept a third party credit card over the phone on the day of arrival (not that it mattered because they were reserved for the wrong day)... sadly that employee wasn't one of the people on the training trip (just the manager who wrote me up instead of them).

...oh, for the credit cards, we'll only accept payment over the phone if it is at least 7 days in advance, otherwise a credit card authorization form would have to be faxed in or the card would have to be present at the time of check in (along with the authorized signer).

But maybe not in the right city/state/country/continent.

oh God, i had tried to forget that the guy had even booked the person in a sister property without telling them...

                Sweet!

although i wouldn't call cussing a co-worker to your manager pleasant, Karma really does make everything else seem so much sweeter

Wouldn't it suck a lot if they blamed you for it? Maybe because you were angry about not being able to go on the trip, so you got your own ride and stole everything.

                  That should be a movie.

However, I knock on wood that it wouldn't.

well, they'd know I couldn't, because I was logged onto my phone taking calls when it happened... and Verint was running, so I know that at least some of those calls were recorded proving that it really was me on the phone and not someone using my login to cover me.
