  • Wish me luck!

I've been looking for a job for a while now, and it's not been easy because I'm a bit short on experience. I've taken classes like job safety and first aid to get more training to put on my resume, but now there's nothing for me to do but send it out and wait for the responses. Mostly it's been no thanks. I usually check Job Bank for positions, and for the past week and a half there's been absolutely nothing- things like mechanic welder or teacher's assistant where you need years of training. It's been pretty depressing. Today, though, I found an ad for a diner called Cora's that's looking for a hostess, no experience necessary, and gratuities! I sent them my resume along with a blurb about how beneficial I would be to their restaurant. I really hope I hear from them. A lot of places don't even bother to call me. I read somewhere that most places don't bother with emailed resumes so if I don't hear from them in a week, maybe I'll get dressed up and drop off a resume in person. Do you think that'd be a good idea? I'm all jumpy and excited!

Edit: I can't believe it, they called about an hour after I emailed them, and I have an interview at 9:00 tomorrow morning! I'm so nervous...I have to do my laundry and find something nice to wear!
