I have an endcap that changes monthly at the end of the main HBC aisle on the front aisle across from the kiosk and registers.
This month, however, I had to change it over a bit early for the holidays. Usually it's the 4th weekend of the month (or by Wed. morning) but due to Thanksgiving and the Christmas season on us now, it was due by the 14th (a week ago Wed.)
Normally, the items come in before the endcap change - usually the week before and I have to squeeze room to hold them (always in the lockdown room) until the changeover. Some of them came in later this time though and it's been a headache for a few days . .
Luckily, I have the same items until Jan. 8th, so amongst those are:
Dove bath/body gift bag sets
Axe deodorant gift sets
Disney bubble bath
Cars bubble bath - and these have almost sold out and I only received one case of 6 - they're shaped like the Rust-Eze car.
Dora the Explorer bubble bath - these bottles are character shaped
and Nemo bubble bath.
Bad part is: our backroom is a total disaster (due to an ass manager who doesn't have the stockers run backstock BEFORE he orders for the next truck, so now almost all our floats are taken up as well as the bunkers leaving no room for another truck hardly.) We had pallets upon pallets in the Receiving area packed with assorted shippers/floorstands/palletized displays.
I couldn't find either the Axe or Dove gift sets anywhere . . . I even had the scanning person log me into the computer (I still don't have my own ID so I can log in myself and check invoices) to see if they had been listed but we just couldn't find them.
Nothing. They weren't listed in out of stocks, nor forecouts. They are a one-shot item, meaning they are pre-ordered for our store and forced out on us - we don't order them. What quantities we get is it and once they sell through, they're gone.
So I ended up a week ago Wednesday with an endcap with one shelf empty, as the other shelf where the Axe boxes were to go also had some razor gift sets, so I spread out on those.
But at least I found Nemo
Even funnier: last Saturday, the Dove and Axe gift sets showed up in the backroom, so now the endcap is completely full.
So it wasn't a total disaster. At least I found Nemo
