  • pizza after Thanksgiving?

there's an article on Yahoo about how pizza places always get busy the day after Thanksgiving. I very rarely eat pizza, so I had no idea. Can anyone confirm this for me? Does this always happen on black Friday?

Huh. I always thought food places would be less busy because of all the leftovers. Although, the bagel place near me was hopping this morning, but I attribute that to it being 8 am and Black Friday.

It kinda makes sense, sick of leftovers.

There are a couple of reason I can think of for this...

          - Turkey pizza! Well, actually, I guess we all had a bunch of turkey...but I think that'd be awesome!
          - They have leftovers and don't want them (already stated).
          - They either don't have leftovers or have been eaten out of house and home and REALLY don't want to cook now.
          - It's really a bunch of college students who DID eat well for Thanksgiving at their respective families' places, but now they're back to their old ways!

          I don't know...something.

Hah! I read that article just this morning, completely forgot about it by lunch, and had pizza myself.

Actually, my entire store chipped in for a party sized pizza for lunch. Maybe thats why pizza sales go through the roof on black friday. How many people out there had their store/manager get pizza today?

I love pizza! I think it's busy after Thanksgiving, because as people have previously stated, people do not want leftovers. Also, they are probably still catching up on cleaning the kitchen after thanksgiving and would rather order out than add more dishes to clean.

Strangely enough I had pizza today. But if there's one thing I don't want to eat the day after a big meal is a repeat of it. Especially if it's thanksgiving or Christmas.

I work at a pizza joint, and it wasn't any busier than any other Friday. Fridays are always moderately busy. Maybe people just think it's busier?

We rolled out nearly five hundred skins yesterday - about thirty percent more than usual. I'll see how many are left when I go in in a couple of hours. Wednesday was extraordinarily busy too.

                    (er. skins are crusts. )

Hehe, we didn't want to cook yesterday either. Reasons:

                      1) We do a potluck with our family in Hurst on holidays so we didn't have leftovers for today.
                      2) Black Friday. We'd been shopping from 10-2:30 and were hungry and tired.

I considered suggesting pizza. We went to On The Border instead.

Part of the buffet in the hot foods department was pizza. It just flew out of there.

Some people tire of turkey too quickly
I personally can not stand too much turkey. Chicken on the other hand.. :P

Well, a bunch of my friends and I got together Friday night since we were all home and when a few of us got hungry, the first thing we thought of was pizza. Cause damn, pizza is good. Also, it might be people are sick of cooking so they order out.

                              Let's look at this way...

A lot of stores will feed their workers when it's busy. What's quick, cheap and easy? Pizza.

Also, if you're shopping all day and you don't want to cook... it's easy to just order a pizza to your house. Pizza is good.
