This isnt really about customers being sucky, its just about something that lots of customers do that gets under my skin.
The way my store is set up we have a wall of merchandice behind the counter (see red area in attached image.)
The problem is, sometimes customers will come behind the counter (and as such, the registers) to get a closer look at the merch on that wall. Usually it's not so bad when we're slow because I can stand there and pass things over the counter for the customer to look at. But now, with the Christmas season in full swing, people who are standing there waiting for their turn will get bored and just start shopping behind the counter.
I always thought that it was pretty obvious (given the layout of my store and the fact that there is carpet in front of the register and tile behind it) that people should realize they aren't suppost to go there. Maybe I'm wrong.
