You will know that I was shafted by my former employer. I seriously hope his greedy concepts bite him in the ass. But enough about him.

To let you know, I got a call from the manager at the EB Games I applied at and got the job and I start on Thursday.

So, thank you for the good karma, though I probably won't join the party as I don't drink alcohol.

Congratulations and good luck on the new job. Retail may not be the most exciting or glamorous job in the world, but it's still an honest living and it certainly beats unemployment.

I want to work in a game shop. Every time I see that GameStop is hiring, I apply. Never get a phone call or nothing. And yes I check up on it.

powerboy, I pretty much had the golden background for being hired. I used to do customer service for 3 1/2 years (trying to get out of it for 3 years) and in the entertainment department for 2 1/2 years with a focus on gaming. They know I can handle stress and have the knowledge to work there. ( ironically, I'm one of the few who actually do)

So don't feel bad. They're looking for game experience and customer service experience. Being a specialist shop, they do expect particulars.
