  • New job! New Monitor!

Well, my computer's monitor went out last night. I still have no clue what happened. I was playing Age of Empires Gold when it flickered and went dark. I thought perhaps I had activated some sort of movie and waited. Nothing. I couldnt get out o the game.

So I rebooted. Nothing. When I power on the monitor I see the brand name (BenQ) flicker faintly, and then nothing. Sometimes I see 'light' from behind it shining brown, but that's it.

God, I hope its the monitor and not the PC that went. I have a secondhand one coming... it was a few years old.

On the other hand, I have a new job. Yay! I begin training at an Apple store in a few days at two dollars more than what I make/made at Sears. I give notice at Sears tomorrow! (my boss is going ot be SO PISSED, but I dont care anymore).

I also found my old cellphone, so at least I have a phone again.

    Huzzah!

That does indeed sound like the monitor. If it had been a component on the PC, you would have seen the BenQ nice and bright. So as you said it...

Huzzah again. New monitor! 19" wide screen... I can't read all the text side to side!!!

it is nice though. Iw as worried it HAD been the PC that blown, as it took for-freaking-ever to boot up. But it does. I'm backing up things as we speak for a reformatting.

hmmm... Your hard drive might be giving you early warning signs of death, too. Keep your data backed up frequently!
