Ok, some background story. I've been in hot water recently because I can't get my call times down during a time when we are dropping calls, which is a reasonable thing to ask I'll admit. However, the company has dismissed complaints about hotels calling us and asking us to do things that we can't do rather than contacting their single point of contact which I'd argue is using a lot more time causing more calls to drop than me having a call time of 286 seconds rather than 250 seconds. And the icing on the cake, on Monday I received a prank call from a hotel employee. My manager's response to my request that the company look into was first "so it was a prank call, what set's it apart" then when I told her it was an employee her response was along the lines of "ok, I'll get around to looking into it"
ok, going off topic, by show of hands, how many times have any of you actually had someone make good on their promise to "get around to it"
back on topic, I sent an obscene caller form to corporate, the policy is that we are to send those forms in as soon as possible, so I put a note on that I had waited so long to send in a form because I was hoping that my manager would handle it in house before getting corporate involved but her response to my request did not give me much confidence that it would get done.
her reaction, this makes me look bad because it shows the company I can never be satisfied. um, tell me, sense when has expecting the companies rules regarding prank calls to be enforced is been unreasonable and expecting it in a timely manner been impossible to be satisfied?
for that matter am I being unreasonable being upset that my manager complains about how long my calls are and how that contributes to dropped calls when the company isn't enforcing its rules against hotels calling agents?
