It depends on the situation and the person.
I worked with a friend from high school for 4 years. We would get into it at times like all coworkers, but we are still friends, he was even in my wedding. We (along with another friend) even started a (short lived) business, and while he & I were the headstrong ones we got along ok. The only thing we argued over was when two of us were ready to fold it up, and he wanted to advertise more.
I worked with my best friend for a time, but it was BK. He & I used to discuss starting our own business, and I even started writing the mission statement and etc. so we could start looking for financiers.
But I quit writing, and quit talking about a business when I realized that I was going to be the one that had to handle all of this. He'd do the work of installations and etc. But I'd be doing most of it. Not to mention he got someone else involved, and I knew his brother, sister & parents would be following in short order to try and run things.
The other partner in my business and his wife (mainly his wife) want to try flipping a house when the real estate market corrects itself (and they have more money to do so). I too would like to flip a house one day to see if I can do it. But I'd never go in with them on it, that is to say unless we had each done a few. Mainly because she & I would probably fight over decisions and I hate to ruin our friendship.
