So today I had an interview for a global company that starts with "Hi" and ends with "achi". For a customer support job at one of the International Business Machines buildings (think blue).

Anyway, my face-to-face interview went great. My interviewer loved my answers to the questions she gave me and she felt that I had a great background already.

Then they sit me down for this computer test. There are 3 parts to this test. The first part is basically taking in calls from business and filling out forms accordingly. They give you 10 minutes to fill out the forms, you have to do as many as time permits. I did 6 out of the 8, they were looking for speed, accuracy and not having to have the person at the other end of the line repeat themselves. Like I said, I got 6 out of the 8, and I know my accuracy is good. I only had to have the person at the other end repeat a total of like 5 times. And twice because my mouse was flailing all over the screen.

The second part was a this test to look at how you decipher information. Well, thing was... my eyes hurt just looking at the screen on that one. So, the entire time I was squinting through the test trying to classify things. I'm pretty sure I did horrible.

The third part was another personality profiler. Whatever, I know that I'm competitive yet still a team player.

So, I don't think I got the job... unless they don't put too much weight on the stupid classifying bit. Yeesh. Good news is, my current job still loves me.
When will the fantasy end? When will the heaven begin?

Sorry to hear that you don't think the tests went well.

I know you were looking forward to it.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

I learned from years of experience that just because you think you did poorly, doesn't mean you are correct. There is always the possibility that the other testers scored lower than yourself, or the possibility that the major grading portions that they use in determining things were the areas where you excelled. Keep your chin up. Good Luck.
