  • The competition really is better. (Serious)

Last night I was up in Minneapolis for activation training and it was with the AT&T representative.

So, we're sitting in this board room and he opens up his laptop, connects it up the projector and pulls out his handy-dandy aircard. Now, you'd think he would have an AT&T aircard but you'd be wrong, he had a Sprint aircard.

So I start laughing and then ask, "don't you work for AT&T??"

And he goes, "Sprint has a faster broadband network. Don't tell my boss."
When will the fantasy end? When will the heaven begin?

    I am seriously not surprised.

I'm not a real big fan of AT&T for a panoply of reasons. Technical Quality is one of them.

I hate AT&T. I only use them for my cell phone. And that is only because I had Cingular for about 5 years before AT&T bought them. I just love Cingulars/AT&T's reception.

That doesn't surprise me either, our Carriers here in Australia work in the same way.
National (Telstra, Biggest Carrier) charges three times as much as the other 3 carriers that offer mobile internet yet they cover pretty much every single populated area of Australia. So often you will see Telstra staff in the Cities using a competitors mobile internet, and vice versa for those from the other carriers that travel into regional areas.

I've got a verizon phone as well. It's fine; it works pretty much anywhere, even in my extremely small hometown.

Just hope really hard that nothing ever goes wrong. It'll be a few years before they get around to fixing your problem.
Excuse me, good sir paladin, can you direct me to your EVIL district?

I have no problems with Verizon, and I think the idea of rollover minutes is amazing if you're weird about your talking habits from month to month.

I just think it's hilarious when he's giving a presentation on a Sprint internet connection all the while he works for AT&T and he's trying to tell me why his aircard is better than Sprints.

I am biased, I love Sprint.

I'll never buy a Verizon aircard because I think it's silly to cap people off at 5GB per month. However at that same token, it'll still be my job to try and convince people that they need an aircard, and Sprint, Verizon or AT&T will be their answer.
