So... I went through that work, spent 30 dollars on a security chec, then 25 to get a new gaming license, and then filled out an application at the casino, to be told 'we'll call you this week if we're going to hire you. If you dont hear back, we're not interested."
That was last monday.
Luckily, I got a new job over the weekend at a Dry cleaner. Its GREAT!
No talking to people all day. Sure I have to be on my feet, but I can listen to my Ipod, wear casual things and I even groove a little while I iron pants.
Downside: I need to make myself wrist protectors cause I dont have the wrist strength to lift the iron with my arm stretched out horizontally without it touching my wrist.
I have lost all the hairs on my fingers and hands though (The fine ones everyone has. Is not a hairy woman! ), and I think I singed my chin. But my sinuses are clearing up from all the steam.
Its not a bad job, only I dont get why we need 100 different styles of pants.
Something my boss told everyone when I went around to be introduced my first day/Interview: "She knows what a Crease is!" (This is when I had told him I was in Air Cadets. I knew they were being truthful when they said you learn skills you use in Real LIfe. I didnt know that included creasing pants!)
Wish me luck. So far, so good. Huzzah!
