Today I had my interview at Sam's Club. It went well despite the fact that I was so nervous during the interview that I kept fumbling my words when asked several questions pertaining to what you would do in several scenarios & how I dealt with certain situations in my past jobs. Soon as the interviewer left the room after my 1st interview I put my head on the table & just felt like crying cause I thought I had blown it.
Another lady walked in & she was the interviewer's supervisor & I told her that I was sorry about the way I was cause I was nervous. She told me that the girl who interviewed me had told her she wasn't too sure about me cause I appeared to be nervous-which I was! BUT she had been nervous too cause it was her 1st time interviewing somebody. So she gave me a 2nd interview & I was better in that one. So then she had me sign some aknowledgment papers & she the told me she had a job offer for me as a maintenance person! Of course I accepted it & was told it would be a FULL TIME position starting out at $8.50 an hour!
Then she said I would need to submit to a drug screening. So she sent me to this place where I tinkled in a cup for it. Once Sam's Club gets the results then they can schedule my orientation & then I can start work.
The hardest part of getting a job is the interview process. I knew what I wanted to say when being asked those questions but I'm sitting there trying to come up with intelligent answers while trying not to over do it. I felt like Porky Pig today...lol. I'm just glad they took a chance on me.
