On June 15th I was working midnight shift.
At the time this happened I was the outside guy. Guy pulls in and he and his passenger get out and ignore me and go over to a van that pulled up just outside the stores door. They are talking to some girl and another car comes in real fast and says he thought the girl(his cuz..) was having a problem.
The guys passenger told him I was waiting and he yelled to put $10 in the tank. I asked if it was going to be cash or card. He yelled FOOD STAMPS! I almost told him to leave but I went ahead and put the gas in his car. He pays me finally and walks back over to the girl.
Another car pulls in and theres a girl and two young men in the car. The girl tells me to put $10 in and I do. She was a regular pain...err.. customer that came in a few times a day. Well the teo guys with her get out and start running their mouths to the guy that was still there talking to the girl in the van.
They tell him he owes their brother money and he says he doesnt. The one yelled that he would kick his a$$ and his friends a$$. The guy walks around to his drivers door and grabs an open BEER and starts walking back around the front of his car. One of the young guys jumps up and covers like 5 feet and punches him and he is out cold. The other young man goes after the other guy. He gets away.
They then start beating the crap out of the guy on the ground and I finally get them off him. They were JUMPING on this guys head and it sounded like a melon hitting the ground over and over. He is out, bleeding from the forehead, mouth, and nose.
We called 911 and they got there but EVERYONE was gone it was just the guy laying in the lot. His friend had jumped into the car and took off and left him. The girl in the van left, the girl and 2 young men left.
Well I told them what I could but it all happened so fast and I dont like to stare at people so they dont start crap with me.
The police came in two days later and watched the video.
The one officer came in tonight and told me I would be subpoenaed. I dont think I will be of much help. I didnt get that great of a look at the guys.
We have video of the assult, BUT as the officer told me tonight the boss bought a junky system. Its in black and white, all video is stored on a hard drive, and the boss doesnt know how to download the video onto a SD card. So there will be no video of it in court.
The two guys were arrested and so was the girl driving them. Them for assult and her for obstruction/interference. She wouldnt give names to the police when asked.
