  • Luncha and Car Insurance

So today at work a few people decided to order take-out from a Chinese place in our plaza. We were in the break room deciding what to order when another CW walks in. We ask if OCW wants anything. He says no, he has to pay his Car Insurance and wants to save some money up. If he had stopped their I wouldn't be wiring this.

He continues, "My insurance is really expensive, i got into a accident and my rates went up alot." we had that puzzled look on our faces, thinking, how much can one accident rally drive up rates. He continues. "I have been driving for two and half years and got into 6 accidents, and totaled two of my cars, someone else's, a fire hydrant and a few mailboxes."

My fist thought was, did I her this right, then realizing I did i made a mental note to never get a ride with them under any circumstance. How do you total three cars in two ahd a half years and get in three more accidents on top of that? What are you doing, putting in in drive and just keeping the pedal on the floor?

I don't want to know what you rates are, never never mind what insurance company is willing to insure you.

Wow. Somehow I don't think that skipping a few lunches out will pay his premium!

Hmm... Sounds kind of like my best friend. All but one of his cars (his current BMW) have been totaled. Although that was over the course of 10 years, and technically only 2 of the 6 accidents were his fault.

But 6 accidents in 2 1/2 years...that's some bad driving. Stay off the road & the sidewalks when your CW is out and about.

I read of a young man who seemed especially accident prone. His parents simply thought, boys will be boys, and let it go. Then he got a driver's license, and had a couple bad accidents within the first year. They discovered he had epilepsy, and was having tiny, subtle seizures.
