  • Last day is complete!

I just finished my last day as a technician at a computer retail chain and it feels great. It feels great that I won't have to deal with unreasonable customers and managers that constantly push for sales numbers. Most of all it will feel great just working one job, for once, and get to enjoy my weekends and weeknights. I feel bad for leaving them short handed (3 people have left since last month) but I felt so burned out.

It's going to be weird not having two jobs since I've been doing it for the past 4 years but my other job game me a 10% out of cycle raise to quit it...so who am I to deny that? I still have some stories that have occurred during my final two weeks but I'm so exhausted. I think I will go to bed and sleep peacefully knowing I won't have to work early on a Sunday.

Oh...and of course the BEST thing about this is that I finally get to watch football during the season!

Ah, well, those are all the retail chain's that I've worked for that have techs I guess. Except I was only a tech at two of them It's something I miss and then I remember the customers... and wonder how high I had to be to miss it.

not abnormal. i'll probably end up missing it to some degree. most of the co-workers were fun to work with except for the crazy guy that chanted spells while working. but, the bad customers coupled with people outside our department made it too stressful. maybe i'll go back for another stint...but i think i am forever done with retail.

Are you sure they were spells? I've been known to mutter a few sayings from here when working on a particularly vexing problem.

No, he was a pretty odd one. He's the same guy who took a screw that was obviously an inch too long for where he was trying to put it and screwed it right through the back of an iMac. He's also the one where he told a coworker that he was gonna take someone out (as in kill him) when he wasn't expecting it.

Lord, I'm already having a difficult time dealing with all this free time during the weekdays. Weekends are no problems; I find plenty to do then. But man...weekdays suck. I was already going to the gym like 4 times a week. After I get back from work and go to the gym it's like 7 o'clock and then I'm at a loss as to what to do. I need some ideas on what to do until school starts back up.

Seriously, look into a local marital arts studio or ren-fair or some such to see if they have anything in the area.

Lol...i'm a retard. I applied for a telecommuting job with Google. If I got it, it would be part-time and whenever I want to work. I'm such a tool for work. Other than that...I've been thinking of picking up boxing. I stopped martial arts a long time ago and kind of not too interested in it. (Very much unlike a normal Asian =)).
