I work in a Professional dry cleaner, for those who do not know. Part of its' boast is 'serving the theatre and entertainment community'. That is, we do dry cleaning for: Theatre productions, movies, mascots, the Calgary Police, and yes... the Calgary Stampede.
Its not so busy DURING the stampede save emergency cleanings. But today we got the costumes in from the Grandstand Show... about 30+ pairs of childrens' jeans, the same amount in grey slacks, plus all the shirts.
And we dont even have the band's outfits yet.
So being the Pants Presser, I get to stuff my hands in and around all these kids' pants to make them all neat and tidy for next year, after they're washed and dried. I usually work 8-4. Today I got off at 5:30. That's fine, I desperately need the cash.
And yes, I joked about this to my boss. He laughed.
