...That got your attention
So, today I was at work and it was one of those “same shit, different day” kind of days. Nothing out of the ordinary was happening. In fact, the only new thing that has happened is some stupidity from head office where they have said no store is allowed to use the PA system anymore. An instruction that we are all pretty much ignoring.
Anyway, there was a gathering of people in customer advisor shirts in the tech area. This is pretty much the standard uniform except for techies, like myself, who wear a different colour. Anyone else who works on any other department has to wear the same colour shirt as all non-tech staff...including managers
Anyway, our General manager (Thomas) has had a bit of a clamp down on non-service staff skiving in the tech centre. I got to have a bit of fun
Tom: Whats going on here then?
Danny: We’re having a bit of a debate
Tom: About what?
Danny: Service figures
Tom: Only grey shirts should be gathering in this quantity around here
Simon: Oooh, so you’re discriminating against us because of the colour of our shirts? You shirt-ist!
All: Yeah!
Tom: don’t be soft. there’s too many sales shirts in here
Me: Well Tom, if you weren’t in here, that would even the balance out a bit. Piss off
All: *Jaws drop*
Tom: *Cockey-half smile* Get on with some work, lazy sod!
I’ll get you back for that one *walkes off chuckleing
He did get me back later. I had to stand on meet & greet for an hour and a half, which he knows annoys me, but this time, it was all in good fun I mean, c’mon...how many people get to tell their boss to piss off and keep their job afterwards?
