Its FINALLY happening....hopefully

just so you all know my store manager (Im associate manager...2nd in command) just accepted a position at another store in a completely different state, and is in the process of transferring with the company and moving all his stuff there to his new apartment.

Well....his job posting for MY store came open today...and well...I just submitted my cover letter and resume to try to be hired on as the full time store manager....now I just have to wait a week to find out if i got it.... Now Im going to be a nervous basket case until Im interviewed and find out if I got it.....

on a positive note...I have all the experience of basically running the store since November...since corporate has been shipping my manager around from store to store to help out where needed...ive done all the employee scheduling...sales forecasting...merchandising...phone conferences....EVERYTHING since then. I just havent gotten paid for it.....

Perhaps your situation with the employee (keep in mind I haven't yet read beyond your initial post on that topic) may have been what the doctor ordered, as a test of sorts.
