I took a PT job working at the local Osco which is attached to a Jewel store.

We do passport photos.

I had a long line and a gentleman came up and asked for one. I said "It will just be a minute. I'm going to call another checker up to ring up and I'll take care of you or I'll continue ringing up and she'll take care of you"

He stormed off and told the manager I refused to help him!

They walked over and I explained and the guy said 'I was next in line"

He didn't seem to understand passport photos take about 10 minutes. I can't hold up my line that long and it would have been 2-3 minutes before my coworker made it up there.

I wasn't in trouble but the manager comped the guy the photos for his trouble!

When I saw it was at Osco, I just knew the manager would bend over backwards for the customer. I think it's a prerequisite that all Osco managers have their spines removed.

Stuff like that is why I should never be a manager. I'd just laugh at them, tell them to wait their turn in line like we learned in kindergarten, and shaddup.
