A speckled what?

I had a very drunk old man at karaoke this week come over and tell me:

"You sure are doin a good job honey, and you're purtier than a speckled..." something.

He said it twice, and I never could catch the last part.

So, I am purtier than a speckled something.

Was heard around my house from time to time. My excuse? I was born and raised in Texas. At least that's my story and I am stickin to it.

texasbelle5 is correct. At least that is how I always heard it.

On a side note, my most favorite country saying is one that my granddad would always say. Whenever someone was pissing him off he would just stop look at them and say "about time for me to start stacking some furniture around here". I would get a kick out of that everytime I heard him say that. He had this way of delivering it that everybody in earshot would just bust out laughing (except for the person who he was saying it to most of the time).
