Holy crap! They break it out the day after Thanksgiving where I work and it still drives me bonkers. If they started right after Halloween I would seriously quit!
It was so loud in the breakroom, that I just spend the entire week glaring at everyone that came in, because I was so annoyed.

    I'm a very pleasant person.

Powerboy, perhaps I should have been more clear. I like christmas music, just not BAD christmas music. And it's played too damn soon.

Just curious, but where are you from that Haloween comes before Thanksgiving (second Monday in October, this year it was the 13th)? I thought everyone celebrated it on the 31st.

Hadn't mentioned it before, but I've heard not one but two radio stations (widely separated geographically) playing Christmas music before Labour Day

Of course, for the geeks, Christmas music on Haloween is appropriate. After all, (Oct)31 is equivalent to (Dec)25 - and (Hex)19 and (Bin)11001, but the last 2 don't map onto a calendar.

            Two more words:
            Jingle Dogs.
I have both Jingle Cats CDs and the one Jingle Dogs CD. (I don't think there's any others.)

            That gives me ideas.

My favorite Christmas song is "Father Christmas" by the Kinks. The only carol I really liked was when my first husband would sing "Adeste Fidelis" (Oh, Come All Ye Faithful) in Latin.

I have two favorite Christmas movies: A Christmas Story and Die Hard.

Today my sup snuck in our old music instead of the christmas crap. My dislike for her has unwittingly slightly diminished as a result.

The song I hate the most isn't the Chipmunks Christmas Song...

It's a godawful song called "Christmas on the Bayou".

I don't mind the Christmas music if its classy and doesn't repeat a song more than once in my workshift, though.

In the US Halloween ALWAYS comes before Thanksgiving. Halloween is 10/31 and Thanksgiving is the last Thursday in November (or something like that).

Canadians have a shorter growing season than we do, so they celebrate it a month or so earlier on what we call Columbus Day.

There's the real spirit of Christmas right there! Or at least for us poor folk who suffer in retail. I used to play this in the stockroom when I worked for the laminated book of dreams - anything to keep us sane in November & December. Can't believe I'd almost forgotten it - thanks for bringing it up!

HAHA that's the best christmas song I have ever heard. Also kinda reminds me of my crew here. Too bad we couldn't play this over the intercom (until customers leave...)
