Not really sure where to put this as it's not a rant/vent but it did happen at work...

So I work as a temp for a collections department. The company doesn't allow temps to park on site; instead we park at a nearby public transit parking lot and the company uses a shuttle bus to take us back and forth.

On to the story: Recently we brought on a new group of people for the collections department and they're going through training for the next few weeks. I'm sitting on the shuttle at the end of the day and hear this from a couple sitting behind me:

Guy: (says something I wasn't listening to yet but I caught that he was a new hire)

Girl: ...Yeah, but training isn't really the best way to find out about the job. It just teaches you to use the system and what the laws are but the instructor is going to make it sound like a great job. It isn't. Collections sucks.

Guy: Oh, I know, but I still think that I'll be just fine with it.

Girl: (disbelieving) Really!? (then in more of a curious tone of voice) You don't think you'll have a hard time calling people up at home and begging for money?

Guy: (laughs) No, I got lots of practice already. I do it all the time to my family and friends.
