    OK, so this hotel runs on gossip... and this gossip has made my day. So, last week I was talking to the AGM and I mentioned that I (like most of the staff) got the feeling that the former manager was gay. She mentioned oh yeah, she got that feeling too. This was of course in no way related to why he was fired, just an interesting note. Anyway, I got a call this morning from one of our shuttle drivers who is setting up a baby shower for the AGM... while she was reminding me to tell day shift today about it she mentioned she had new dirt... this got me excited because I'm shameless when it comes to workplace gossip. Anyway, she told me about something the AGM told her on Friday
    AGM- "you know M, I had the strangest deja vu this week, smiley mentioned that he thought (former manager) is gay... the last week (former manager) was here he said the exact same thing about smiley. And come to think of it I've thought that about (former manager), smiley, and azen for a while now"

    and the really funny part... the shuttle driver says that she thinks both the AGM and (former manager) have no idea what they are talking about

    Ah, c'mon now Smiley, I thought this was already confirmed.

    What you need to do now, is talk to AGM and tell her that rumor has it you're gay, but you haven't been able to verify the story and are still confirming your sources. You'll let her know if this little rumor is discovered to be true.

      bainsidhe, you have no idea how tempted I am to do that

      too bad in this state that could be grounds for termination if the management decided they wanted to fire me for it Not sure about what corp policy says, but the state says it's fine (but that's something to take to fratching)

      ETA- scratch that... our parent company has strict anti-discrimination policies with employment of LGBT... so legally they could fire me, but they'd lose their franchise if they did which I don't think they're stupid enough to do. I actually discovered that our parent company was listed on the HRC website for companies to use because of progressive corporate policies... so anyone planning a vacation and wants to know who to favor in their hotel stays feel free to PM me
