I hate wicker.
I fucking hate wicker.
I fucking hate wicker with the fury of a million blazing suns.
Did I mention I hate wicker?
One of our grouping of wicker baskets is made of "seagrass." It's a grassy substance of some sort. The stuff smells like it just dropped out of a cow's ass.
Really now, what do cows eat? Grass. What does grass smell like after it has passed through a cow's digestive system? Not pleasant.
It also turns out that with this particular grouping, the smaller pieces are packed inside the larger ones. They all need to be unpacked and un-nested before being put on the shelf or put in backstock so that somebody doesn't end up with about $400 of wicker baskets after paying just $90 or so. This particular set consists of the following, all packed like those Russian dolls:
Today, ten of this particular set came in on the truck. Guess who got stuck putting it all away?
I made sure to scrub up good when I got home.
I understand it's "green" and natural and all that, but I'm sure there are green and natural storage items out there that don't smell like a steaming cow turd.

- One medium-sized trunk
- One small trunk
