Quickie-this woman comes into my food joint every day (but I just started there 2 days ago, and this is only the second time I'd seen her) and orders the same kind of coffee. My supervisor, who knows this, told me what to make for her. I made her coffee, and she leaves. The next day she comes in complaining about how I made her coffee ("He screwed it up, but it was his first day so we'll forgive him.") Now I have a few problems with this. One-if I screwed up your order, why the hell do you not tell me right away so I can fix it, and instead come back a day later? Two-why bitch to my supervisor, who clearly will ream me out for it (albeit half-jokingly as he did) instead of just leaving it be? Three-how am I supposed to know her order and make it correctly for her if my supervisor can't even tell me what she wants correctly? (I don't know any of our damn regulars yet. Cut me some slack.) I may be overreacting a little, but I think this old woman may have been a little out of line the way she reacted to the situation. I have seen her since, and she STILL won't drop it that I screwed up her order on my first day.
Sometimes I regret taking this second job. I clearly have more SC's there than at my full-time one.
