That working at the casino brings less suck than when I was working at the gas station. I have some pretty grumpy people, but really nothing over the top sucky. When I first started I figured the combination of alcohol and money would lead to massive suck. but even on the busiest nights, there wasn't anything more than some minor to moderate rudeness. And, honestly, I've seen more drunk out of their mind people on graveyards at the gas station than I ever have at the casino.
I've also realized that I like working at the gas station better, even with the amount of utter suck that happened there, for the simple fact of I could kick people out, and I had a lot more control over things since I worked mainly alone. Not to mention the small staff, I got along with everyone. With the casino having over 100 employees I don't even know some of my coworkers, and the company isn't run terribly well, there's a lot of "do this, no do that, no do the other thing" and so on. Gas station had a set of rules we followed with little variation.
Just kind of a huh, that's interesting, moment. That I'm sharing for some reason...
