  • "I'm sorry I'm late"

My 10:00AM appointment came in and apologized for being late - at 10:05.

I just laughed but appreciated it. (I'm still waiting for my 10:00 AM appointment from yesterday and my other two from 10:00AM this morning...

I do the same thing. I hate being late! I tend to try and be ten to fifteen minutes early for everything. I tend to call if I think I'm going to be late (or even right on time) because I feel so bad.

Places I have a lot of appointments with (eg. Doctors) tend to laugh at me.

I do that with work on occasion. If it even appears that I'll be five minutes late, I'll call and say I'm running a bit behind (for whatever reason). Of course, the kicker is that half the time I end up getting there as scheduled anyway.

        Pah, amatuers!

I've lost count of the number of times I've sat in laybys and 'just around the corner' because I'm so early I can't go the address I'm going too!

I'm congenitally early. The only time I've ever been late for anything is when I was in an accident. Otherwise, I'm usually 15 to 20 minutes early.

I do this too. In fact, when I was interviewing for jobs, it wasn't unusual for me to get there over a half hour early, because I would leave plenty of time for poor directions and traffic issues. I would normally read in the car while keeping half an eye on the clock before going in, but once I was questioned by security.

I hate being late, too, even if it's going to the movies or at my job. If I'm doing something on my own time that requires me to be there at a certain time -- mostly the movies -- I'm usually there at LEAST forty-five minutes early. It gives me time to get something to eat, maybe get some sodas, and get to the theater before the movie actually begins.

At my job I'm usually there anywhere between ten and twenty minutes early, to give myself the needed time to get my stuff into my locker, take a quick potty break, maybe read a couple of a pages out of a book, get my work stuff, clock in, and be up front with some time to spare.

I've probably only been late three times in the six years I've been working with Random Craft Company. The first time being I accidentally locked myself out of the house without my car keys [ hey, I thought they were in my car already! ] and had to wait for someone to let me back in, the second time was when my car wouldn't start and had to get it taken back home and then driven home, and the third time was recently when I overslept and was twenty minutes late. Boss people really didn't give much of a damn in all three cases anyways, knowing that it's extremely rare that I'm not in the building before my shift.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.
