Economy's slow, we all know that. The pool store's been slow, which was to be expected. We tried selling jacuzzis, stoves, and game room supplies (pool tables, bars, etc.) No dice.

So yesterday myself along with my 6 other coworkers discovered we've all been laid off because sales have been way too slow. Now it's just Bossman!K and his two ASMs. Which leaves me with no job come summer break, since I've just been let go.

TJ, a co"irker" I had posted about eons ago in the CoC board, was one of the last to find out and relayed the same info to me. I called the store just to be sure it was real. Turns out it was.

TJ is now working at one of the big name craft stores about 10 minutes from where the pool store is, and she loves it. She told me she would put in a good word for me if I can't find another job to replace the pool store.

I'm still just grumbling about the whole thing. What terrible timing. Happy new year to me.

I am so sorry. That just sucks. Keep us up to date on the job hunt.

BTW, why weren't you told in person and ahead of time? Very tacky by your boss.
