  • Ive got an interview x2!!

I graduate this May and have been hoping to get a job along now and then.

The HR guy here at my hospital has been stringing me along since November, I feel. Just telling me to be patient and to stop worrying while everyone else in my class is getting hired left and right.

I have 2 interviews this Tuesday coming. One on a unit that has NO positions open, and one on a unit I dont want to work at..........

Sooooooo...im just trying to keep a happy face on as I go to these interviews but its all a bunch of crap.

Im not sure why they called me back for the unit with no positions open. I REALLY want to work there, but with no positions open Im not sure why theres an interview scheduled in the first place.

And the unit I dont want to work at......I really dont want to work at. Im only going to the interview so that I dont seem like the picky bitch that I really am. LOL

I dont want to take a job in desperation, only to have my dream job open up. And I also know that it may not be possible to get my dream job right out of school. Im just stuck. If I take the job on the floor i dont want to work on, i'm obligated to stay at LEAST a year and I dont know If thats something I want to attempt.

Wish me luck either way. LOL

They have interviews so that the people in HR can claim to be doing their jobs, as far as I can tell.

I'm seeing ads around for a position with one of the state agencies here- but I have a friend who works there, who told me they've got a hiring freeze on. So they can't hire, but they still advertise.

I honestly think we could fix most of the economic and employment woes if we'd eliminate HR departments and fire everyone who's ever worked there. Preferably out of a giant cannon.
