  • oh frabjous day!

I have creative control over most of the writing in our quarterly newsletter, and the upcoming one is going to focus on my org's birthday. Which means lots of focus on our colors, etc.

So, in the name of making the newsletter the best it can be...I've decided to do a page of drinks in the colors of our org. So I'm going to take it upon myself to experiment. So yes, I will be getting paid to mix random crap together and drink it.

(I do have some ideas from looking around the web a bit, but if anyone else knows how to make drinks featuring the colors red and purple, that would rock)

Ha, I just have to say I love your title--I use the Jabberwocky in a basic grammar lesson and the students usually get a kick out of it.
However after reading it five times a day for two days straight....I might have gone a little bit crazy, though I doubt any of them noticed.

      I adore Jabberwocky.

I took a community college Composition/Lit course in high school; when we got to the poetry section, the prof was trying to make the point that poetry is very difficult to define. As an example, he handed out a copy of Jabberwocky, which of course is total nonsense, but OBVIOUSLY poetry. He jokingly asked if anyone in the class would volunteer to read it out loud, and was surprised when I not only volunteered, but did it easily.

And thus began a lovely friendship with a wonderful teacher.
