My boss told me not to tell anyone about this, but honestly, if they found my posting on this board, I'd have bigger things to worry about, right?

Anyway...I've been with my company for a little over 3 years, and in my current position for just over 1 year. I've taken on a huge number of responsibilities, and really been a major asset to the company, IMHO. Fortunately for me, Awesome Boss agrees...and is lobbying the CEO to get me a salaried position, instead of hourly!

Not time to party just yet, as nothing is certain, but...well, here's hoping!

I wish you the best of luck, Joi. It is good to see that your immediate supervisor is confident enough in your abilities to go to bat for you. ^_^

Just remember, salary also means you don't (normally) get compensated for overtime. Take that into account when they make the offer. Especially considering what a flake CEO is.

Yeah, I know, but it also means that I could take some things home to work on (I refuse to do that as an hourly employee) and save myself some time in the office.

My office doesn't normally ask people to work overtime, so I'm not too worried. And again, if they're paying me more overall, I really don't care. Since I started going to counseling, my budget is much tighter (it's an extra $240 a month), and I just really need more cash coming in...
