    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

That's me laughing before I start crying. Thank God this week is finally over.

Yesterday we finished up inventory. Reconciliation turned out to be a piece of cake and I didn't get sent outside to lawn and garden to recount the palletized stuff.

Then there was the matter of doing all the pulls that piled up over the previous 3 days because we couldn't do them during inventory. There were about 400 SKUs needing to be pulled and three people to do them. Their names were Me, Myself, And Motherfriggen' I. It took me all day to finish pulling, filling and backstocking them because I had no forklift for most of the day, the guy helping me fill was sent outside to lawn and garden for the rest of the day, and I had to dodge a brutally-retarded bird which somehow got in the backroom.

(Seriously, the damn thing managed to get out to the salesfloor today, and into the vestibule between the entrance doors, and despite our best efforts to shoo it out the door, it insisted on splutting into the windows above the doors and the closed automatic doors and then retreating into the ceiling where the tile was missing. It did this about 4 times before finally growing a brain and flying out the open door.)

And then today--1700-piece truck because it was our only truck this week, the truck people doing their usual 53rd-rate job unloading it, only 5 of us to fill and backstock it and we also had to help people because it got busier than anticipated, and the carryout guy, who was supposed to help us with the truck, got yelled at by a customer over something, and then got yelled at by a manager, and then seemed to disappear. I thought he left. I'm probably wrong on that though.

At least I got the weekend off.

You've just jinxed yourself. Hide from any phones and dont go anywhere near where you work. When you said that you have the weekend off, you pretty much guaranteed yourself that they're going to try to call you in.

Not when I've already put in 40 hours for the week and the company motto is "Death Before Overtime."

You're lucky, my last retail job was constantly calling me into work on my days off. Made me want to crawl into a dark hole to hide everytime I had a day off.

When the baby Jesus smiles upon me and I am granted a weekend off, my cell phone is off and my landline phone is unplugged. If someone wants to reach me, they have these options:

            1. Come over to my house.
            2. Facebook
            3. Myspace
            4. Email.
