Bet I'd have gotten in trouble for this

On my way to work, just a block or so away, I see a car broken down. I feel bad, but don't know anything about cars.

Shortly after arriving, the driver comes in and asks to use the phone. It's never come up before, but I'll bet you 50 bucks I'd have gotten in trouble for it.

So I let him use the phone anyway, hoping none of my bosses would show up in the midst of it.

Luck held, and he was able to get to his father, asked me where he could grab a soda, and was gone. SCOT FREE!

Only downside was this guy SMEEEELLLLLED! Wasn't Trying To Fix the Car smell, either.

That sounds like a typical no-win situation. If you'd been caught, you'd have gotten in trouble. If you'd refused the use of the phone and they complained the next day, you'd still probably be in trouble.

I hate people.

Actually, no. This is a very small company, and we don't deal with people off the street. Our customers are other companys. It'd just have been really sucky to not let him use the phone.

Also, anyone who calls gets me. I get paid to answer the phones. XD
