"Andrea Gray", the director of Parking & Transportation, made some changes regarding the event list. She sends it to me via Microsoft outlook calendar since I have a work e-mail address. It is no longer printed out. Plus I do not get any tokens to give to guests on the event list. The dept. the guest is going to has to give them a token.
A guest arrives to see Semina Taheri, & she says she is on the event list. I told her the dept. will pay for her parking.
Then a couple of hours later the phone inside the booth rings. I look up, & there is a car at the exit gate.
me: "Visitor parking booth, how may I help you?"
customer: "Hi, I was here to see Semina Taheri, & she said you have a token to give to me."
me: *confused* "I'm sorry, but when the parking office took ownership of the Visitor parking garage, "Andrea Gray", the director of the parking office, informed me that I will not receive any tokens to give to anyone. She said the dept. has to give their guest a token. I'm sorry, but I do not have any tokens to give to anyone."
customer *upset at that point*: "But Semina Taheri said you would receive tokens to give to the people on the event list."
me: "I'm sorry, but unfortunately I do not have any tokens to give to anyone. The dept. has to give you a token."
customer *still upset*: "She never told me that. Can you call her?"
I transfer the call to the parking office. "Nancy" answers the phone, & I explain the entire situation, including the fact that the customer wants me to call the staff member. "Nancy" tells me I do not need to be doing that. She said the customer either has to 1) call the staff member or 2) go back to the dept. I notice that the customer was backing up at this point. I ended the phone call with "Nancy".
The phone inside the booth rings again. It's the same customer. She asked me if I was able to reach Semina Taheri. I told her that 1) I was informed that I could not call Semina Taheri, 2) that she was to call her or go back to the dept., & 3) that I do not have a token to give to her.
She backs up & exits after several minutes. I wonder if Semina Taheri called the parking office or went down there.
I hope this mess is straightened out soon.
