Not at my job, but I saw shopping trolleys at a local store recently that had instructions for use on the handles. Assumedly to deflect lawsuits from idiots, but still somewhat depressing.
I saw one in Canadaland where a sign just said, "Stuff on sale." I'm not posting the picture for reasons I'd prefer not to disclose, but it was one of those stop and stare moments.
Also not at my job, but outside my old high school there was a sign "Parking Permitted" with a double-headed arrow to show it was OK to park to either side of the sign. Every time my family drove past, we told ourselves that we'd have to get pictures of it. One time, we finally brought our cameras, and were in the process of photographing it when one of my university professors (who lived in the neighbourhood) asked what was so interesting, and we pointed it out to him. A week later, the sign was gone.
Why would a simple "Parking Permitted" sign be so interesting? It was right beside a fire hydrant (no parking within 20 feet, but of course a sign overrides "standing orders").
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.
When I went to Texas back in 2000, I took a picture of a sign at the entrance to a high school that had a prohibited slash over a picture of a gun and another of a syringe.
The idea that you needed a sign to indicate that weapons and drugs weren't permitted on school grounds just baffled me.
