When I left my previous job, I told them, honestly, that I had found a job where they could use, and value, more of my skillset than they do here; and that while I usually offer previous place a chance to match the offer I was given, that I knew they weren't going to, so I wasn't going to try.

When asked, I said it was almost twice what they were paying me (which was also true). The head of the department said that was more than he made. I told him I knew that, which was why I didn't bother to ask.

That place, however (which has gone out of business), I wouldn't have stayed at even if they had matched my offer. The Cs did S, but my job was not C-facing; but the Es Sed harder.

In other words, Congratulations to Miss_Stress! Good luck, and enjoy!

That's actually pretty common. Too many people have taken revenge on their last day of work. I very much doubt that you would do something like that, but there have been instances as far as I understand it.

I've never had the chutzpah to take revenge or play pranks on my last day of work. The most I've done is blast The Who's "I'm Free" on the car stereo as I'm driving away...

I do not doubt that loads of people do, though, and I'm rather glad that Miss Stress' boss thought she would. Give her a nice paid vacation instead of having to deal with Hell her workplace. Again, I say
