Just been told that due to various and sundry reasons, I'm not being recommended for a contract renewal next year at my school.

Sorry to hear that. Did they give you explanations as to why?

If not, you should ask for the exact reasons: explain that if you have deficiencies, you'd like to know what they are so you can work on fixing them.

Because I'm only just now figuring out my classroom management skills but they're not confident that I'll have them down by next school year when we'll definitely have 30+ students in a class.
