They have done a remodel here recently. The good news, the worst placed stage on the planet (tm) has finally been removed (seriously, it faced directly towards the front desk, so whenever the free local entertainment was playing we couldn't hear anything at thte front desk) and put in a much better location (actually facing the casino, and with much smaller speakers for amplification too)
That was the good news, the bad news is that they put a new slot section in its place... yeah, of course it has to be the loud slots that make noise every time someone does anything... and it is repetitive noise (like the same f ing 4 notes over and over and f ing over again).
Smiley needs an Excederine.

It's deliberate, they want people on line to be exposed to the slot noise, to try and lure them in... Of course, they only have to be there for a few minutes, while you're stuck there all day.

If the sound level is above a certain amount, it could possibly be an OSHA violation.

I feel your pain smiley. Sometimes I find myself hearing the slot machine music and dings from work when I am AT HOME.
