This couild be classified as a Sighting but the SC behavior in this situation was horrible.
/a little background
2 years ago my state passes a law forbidding smoking in hotel rooms, bars and various other public venues. The law is QUITE explicit and specific. heavy fines for the offender no wiggle room allowed.
/end background
I took a double run to the hotel behind us. As I was waiting for my customers to come to the lobby to get their orders I heard the following conversation
Desk clerk - DC
Hotel security/manitenance guy - HS
HS -= Yeah I had to open the windows to try and air the room out. I also locked out the door card system.
DC - Yeah good job. Hey look at this they ran up tabs in the bar and <small in building restaurant> and charged the tabs to their room.
DC - Are you sure they are gone????
HS - YUP I followed them all the way out to the parking lot. The room was a mess with beer cans all over the place and cigarette ashes everywhere. We're gonna have to steam clean the room tomorrow.
DC - They wanted to pay for the "damage charge" out of their deposit but the deposit was only $50 and the "damage charge" is $100. And that does not even cover their bar and restaurant tabs.
My customers show up and I did not get to hear the rest of the conversation.
