  • OMG!! No Way!!!!

So I'm at a Chuck E. Cheese this evening with the young'uns and I'm waiting to grab some drinks for the hubby and the boy. A couple of late teen/early 20 girls walk by and one says "I can't believe it's this noisy in here." Really? In a restaurant themed for young children to run amok? NO!

In a reverse type situation......it's kinda like when a family with kids goes to a sports bar on a Sunday afternoon in Wisconsin in the fall/winter and feel insulted and/or confused as to why there are so many intoxicated people yelling/hooting/hollering.

Gee whatever was her first clue? Lets see....hmmmm
            could it possibly be:

            1. The Resteraunt is named Chuck E. Cheeses.
            2. The Mascot is a gigantic mouse that is sometimes seen running around greeting patrons
            3. Other random characters that are Chuck E's friends doing the same thing
            4. There are all kinds of games inside the establishment.

Duh...its a kids' themed resteraunt. Its one of the few places where kids can run amok (within reason) without getting into trouble. naturally its going to be noisy.

Interestingly enough, I never even notice the noise until I step outside and it's quiet. I guess I can just tune certain things out, even to that extreme.

Insulted/confused are what the families with kids feel when they visit a local steakhouse. The deceptively named D*** Steakhouse is a strip joint and pool hall. You would think the blacked out windows would give it away.

Thanks! I've never been to one until that day and it was crazy. They need signs saying "Beware The Wild Flying Basketballs"! almost got hit a few times by crazy basketballs.
