The only reason I didn't list Zombie is because...I don't know what it is!

      What's in it?
Depends. The basic is brown and white rum, plus at least one more rum with 60+% alcohol. Then you add several fruit juices - or alternatively, sweet fruit liquors - such as pineapple, orange, lemon...

It's sweet and fruity in the taste, but with a nice "kick".

I'm still fairly new to drinking myself. I stick with beer (either Toohey's or Cascade Prenium Light) or your standard alcopops (also known as bitch beer) which in my case are Cruisers (I'm partial to Cruiser Blacks myself, but also love the Cruiser free), Sky Lemon, Lime and Bitters or Smirnoff Double Black. Still sweet, but I can still taste the alcohol.

I feel like the only good drinks I ever had in Las Vegas are the ones I actually paid for. Is this pretty accurate? The ones they give you for free taste like they are made with very low-quality liquor, which makes sense

I asked for a mai tai, and they brought me a pina colada, and I said no salt, NO salt for the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass...

yeah i'm all for wine... some spirits if they're tasty enough, specific beers (microbrews or sam adams)

First time I went in January, I had spotted kids hocking loogies into the lobby of the Luxor hotel and saw someone take a shit in a casino garbage can.
i wonder if that's part of the reason Blue Man Group left the Luxor and went to the Venetian.

When my husband and I stayed in the Luxor a few years back, I was a little disappointed in the state of disrepair. For the year it was built, I'd say the Luxor was a very posh hotel. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill.

The Ventian, however, looks FUN from what I saw!

I want to stay in either the Bellagio or the Wynn, though. I spend a lot of time hanging out in the hotel (namely the spa, casino, and pool), unlike most people (such as the ones who just need a bed and a door to be happy).

Well, Heineken makes me nauseated, too... try drinking a beer.

No, Heineken is not a beer. Neither is Budweiser. Since you probably don't have regular access to the multitude of foamy goodness that is German beer, I'd suggest trying some of the local microbrews available in the US. Samual Adams, for instance, makes great beer....
Try telling that to the number 1 selling beer in the world :P

and as far as sam adams go... it's ok :P prefer shiner or zeigen for my dark beer tastes.

maybe Im thinking of a daiquri......

either way their are both yuck
Daiquris are way too sweet for my tastes. They all taste like the ones in "Aunt Mame" that are made with honey!

Tequila is definitely an acquired taste; I don't particularly like margheritas, myself. I think they smell wretched.
If your margarita is made right, you shouldn't be able to smell the alcohol. It should be a nice limey scent.

And I'm saying this as someone who can't stand straight tequila. Smells like feet to me.

Gotta agree with you there. I can't stand any American beers. It's like they're missing....something.

I'll drink some Mexican beers, like Dos Equis (although they've got the most ridiculous commercials). Mostly though, it's the Scottish, Irish, and English that I like.

I scared one of the guys I went to school with. I mentioned McKesson triple stout and he said he can't drink it, it's too heavy. Mind you, this guy is about 8" taller than me and outweighed my by at least 100lbs.

No offense, but Boone's? You do know that it's not actually wine? It's a flavored malt.

....really? oops...not an alcohol connoiseur, so that's good to know....

on my 21st i surprised my future mother-in-law by drinking eight or nine Smirnoffs and only being mildly drunk...they had maybe three or four beers and were all woozey....

just like windows is an OS, so is budweiser a beer just because people think it lacks quality, doesn't mean it isn't what it is

i think that's what my point was. but as far as casinos go... thankfully the only casinos i go to on a regular basis (and by regular, i mean mebbe once every 3 months) don't serve alcohol so it cuts down on the crazies.

LOL. But yes, tequila is definitely an acquired taste.

My hard liquor of choice is rum. The good kind.

Long island ice tea is my favorite, and i've never had one that actually tastes like iced tea and I would know i've had thousands of em from hundreds of places lol.

But its definitely a strong drink, not one to begin on.

I've only had one or two long island iced teas, and was disappointed that they tasted nothing like iced tea. I figured maybe they were supposed to look like iced tea instead, which they did.
