Wow. I just got back in. Antelopes and elk and bighorn sheep are fun.

And after reading the latest...OP, you jumped way over the line.

I can understand getting a little upset because a clerk doesn't seem to be paying attention. But bragging that your little temper tantrum got her fired? That's cold.

You better never complain when a customer of yours is giving you a hard time. I'd hate for you to be a hypocrite or anything.

Wait a second - you got her fired... over chicken? You originally told her that drums and thighs were fine. She might have a family to feed at home, a child with cancer, anything - you don't know her. Now she and her family might be unable to pay their rent, get kicked out of their home, or be unable to buy food, because you couldn't get the pieces of chicken you wanted. I agree she should have given you what you wanted, but maybe YOU were the one mistaken. Maybe those pieces weren't breasts or wings at all, and she was right. Or maybe they'd been dropped on the floor, and she hadn't had a chance to throw them away. Maybe they were plastic replicas meant for display. There a million possible reasons, but she was the one working with the chicken, after all.

I had no other shopping to do and did not feel like standing around for the 15 minutes she said it would take.

There were two breasts and two wings, she could have given me my 8 piece. I dont like dark meat, so an all dark meat 8 piece was not what I wanted.

When I destroyed the first bag that left only enough so she would have to give me the white meat she was claiming was dark meat.

She was being a bitch, and after talking to the manager last night I saw him today when I went back to try again, and she has been fired. He didn't even care about me tossing the chicken.

I am damn proud of it.
All that was was overdramatic behavior making you look like a drama queen over some chicken. I would've walked away from you too if you did that for fear of what I would have done next. I can't even wrap my head around how you acted all I can think of is I'd have liked to have seen you get manhandled for being so childish.

Christ, that last sentence...How could anyone be proud of getting anyone fired over something so silly?
I wonder what the manager thinks when he's not on the clock.

Deliberately dropping good food on the floor, thus wasting it - could in all likelihood have been what another customer was after...

Getting an employee fired, thus denying her a livelihood, over a misunderstanding about pieces of chicken???...

So, help me out here, you are proud that you selfishly wasted perfectly good food and caused a probably worn out (by SC's) employee to get fired - all because you did not get your own way?

            Disgraceful

The only person that was sucky was you. Seriously. You're the person that everyone on this board comes here to post about. You're proud of yourself? How terribly, terribly sad.

                Response to the SC

So, let me get this straight...

You didn't get what you wanted and therefore you acted like a two year old. You dumped chicken on the floor, managed to get someone fired and then proceed to brag about it. Do I have it about right?

You want my feelings on the subject? Okay, you got 'em...

Thank you for reminding my why I hate getting up in the morning to do this thing called Technical support and Customer Service. It's because dealing with people like you drive me crazy. I could say a lot more about the subject, but I won't, because I'm not going to waste my time trying to re-educate you. You've got numerous posts... you should know better.

Besides. You've got four pages of this (at last count) to wade through. If that doesn't get through your skull... then I don't know what will.

Just a reminder that we don't personally attack our fellow members.

We've had to do a couple of edits already to some of the comments, and that was after my first reminder.

Comment on the action and not the person.

There's a big difference in saying, "You are fucking scum and a total tool," and "You acted like a scumbag and a total tool here."

                  Hope that's clear, now.

I agree with everyone that you did overreact. But, I don't agree with everyone saying "oh the woman might have had a bad day, what about her family, etc."...if she was a bad employee then she deserved to be fired.

But being fired over chicken is way over the extreme; but, the manager may have had many more reasons and this may have just been the final straw.

                      Ree...

If it seemed like I was attacking the poster, I apologize. That wasn't my intent. I can't remember if *I* edited this post enough or if you had to. If the latter, I apologize. Sorry, I just can't remember as I was up late last night. My point was to roundly criticize the action here. Though again, this guy does remind me why I hate getting up in the morning to put up with this garbage.

And if this post has you looking at me strange, then good. It means it probably wasn't necessary.

Point taken, but we'll never know the situation for sure.

If she was fired over this chicken incident, then the OP should feel ashamed of himself. And clearly he's not. And that's my issue with him.

                          Wow. Really? I mean, really?

You probably would have gotten a tiny bit better responses if you had apologized and said that you were having a bad day and your behavior was way out of line.

It was extremely childish of you. I am appalled.

I was actually on the OP's side until the part where he deliberately dumped the chicken on the floor. That wasn't cool at all, and getting the employee fired was way over the top. And being proud of it all? That's just wrong.

Well, as has already been said, it's unlikely we'll ever know the real reason that lady was fired. She may be like the Brat in my Subway rant thread where she repeatedly pulls stunts like this on customers, and if that's the case, then her getting fired is warranted. (although the food throwing is STILL not justified, just to make that clear!)

If she really did get fired over this ONE incident, that's a bloody shame.

It's so sad the OP felt the need to behave that way. In all honesty, the last incident I had with Subway brat, I was just going to leave the sandwich there and walk out, and the Brat could have paid for it herself and eaten it. I would never behave in such a childish manner to get my way in public!

You know, I don't like dark meat either, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to purposefully waste food. Not only did you waste the deli clerk's time by being a child and dumping the chicken, you also wasted money for that department.

I'm sure it never occured to you to ask for a manager after she told you what you saw wasn't what it should have been. No, you chose to go the route of an 8 year old. There was no mention of cleaning up the mess either. So then they also have to spend time cleaning up the mess you left too.

Add to that, you're chicken enough (pun is definitely intended) to call and complain and not leave your name. Wow...that's all I can say. Wow.

I think had you asked for a manager and they'd been a douche too, that would have kept us on your side. But this is unacceptable.
