So I'm heading out to southern California this week (work related stuff) and I'm flying on a certain airline out of Atlanta....
anyways, my started started out just peachy as I slept about an hour longer than I should have and had to rush to the aiport to get on the plane (I still go there an hour early, so all is good, right?). So I go to the ticket counter, get my ticket, check my bag and then head to the gate. At the gate, I find out they are working on a maintenance issue. That's good, I wouldn't want to be on a plane with a problem.
so they decide to switch planes and they said that they would call people up to the gate to work out new arrangements. Of course it didn't matter as a line formed, so I decided to get in the line. The desk folks stayed there for a while and then left about 30 people in line, they said that if you wanted to rebook call the 800 number. So I did that, since I had a connecting flight and didn't think I'd make it. No problem there.
so anyways, as I'm in the air, I find out that they some of the flights are holding for us (my flight included). So I get on the ground and try to re-re-book. As they are saying the flight is full and they can't do it...they page my name and I get on.
Anyways, why do they give conflicting stories? The people at the desk said rebook, as I get in the air and ask the flight attendants they said you should do that because sometimes they will hold flights. Blah. Ah well, it all worked out in the end. Although I was worried that my bags wouldn't be waiting for me.
